Message by Go Green Pakistan As it is asked quite often, why was Go Green Pakistan started? So here, we would like to share with you what is Go Green Pakistan and why was it started.. Current situation of global recession and increasing security issues due to foreign intervention and the failure of the long awaited democratic government in Pakistan has increased negativism among the people of Pakistan which is the sixth largest population on earth.

Even on Twitter and Facebook we were often disappointed by a large number of Pakistanis indulged in negative discussions which left the youth to not have any hope in the homeland. The slogans like "Pakistan se zinda bhag" (Run from Pakistan Alive) were circulating everywhere and it was really painful for a patriot like me to digest.

We always believed that the negative criticism will lead us to a total disaster and there is a need for someone to highlight the positive things about Pakistan. We realized the power of Social Media to reach out to a larger number of Pakistani Intellectuals with much less effort.

With the help of like-minded people, we launched the new hash tag #MyPAK which is being used to promote only positive news about #Pakistan on twitter

This experiment was quite successful and was promoted by many new followers every day. We believe "Pakistan is not a piece of Land, I am Pakistan, You are Pakistan, We are Pakistan… We will change, So Will Pakistan!"

On 31st July during a productive discussion the idea of Go Green was born. The idea was to bring all Pakistanis close through Social Media & show unity towards #Pakistan and humanity by changing their display pictures and Avatars with Green Flag of Pakistan on Twitter and Facebook.

The concept is to bring patriotism back in the people, to unite them and keep the hope alive ~ which is the driving force for every successful nation.
